Confetti Finally Goes Home

Posted on Sunday, May 19th

Confetti Finally Goes Home 5,291 days. That’s 14 ½ years. Until April 30th, Confetti was the kitty who had been with Furkids the longest. Confetti was born in November of 2002 – the same year Furkids was founded, and came to Furkids in November 2004 from the Atlanta Humane Society, which means she may have spent her entire life in shelters. Confetti was adopted and returned several times over the years. Usually she was returned because of inconsistent litter box use. The last time she was adopted was in 2015. Whenever Confetti came back to Furkids, she settled right back in just like she… READ MORE >

Happy Tails from the Lamar County Puppy Mill Dogs

Happy Tails from the Lamar County Puppy Mill Dogs On March 14th, Furkids joined the Atlanta Humane Society in the rescue of 44 dogs from a puppy mill in Lamar County, GA. Because he was deaf and about to be homeless. It was fate that on Marco's very first Caturday, Joe, who was visiting from New Jersey, stopped by the main cat shelter with some friends… READ MORE >

This is the second day that we have seen this kitty at one of our locations. He does not seem to be familiar with the other cats. He is friendly.” Misunderstood and unloved, he was obviously dumped at this cat colony with no concern for him at all. He was simply thrown out like trash. He had no chance to survive outdoors on his own, and… READ MORE >
