Kushky Q was one of many stray dogs trying to survive in 113°F weather on the streets of Qatar. He was the weakest one in the pack and, thus, the last one to eat when food was found. He was emaciated and covered in wounds from being bullied by the other dogs. Despite his condition, a Good Samaritan rescued Kushky Q and took him into her home. She found him to be gentle and sweet with humans but scared of other dogs. She kept Kushky Q in her home for many months helping him to recover from his injuries and to learn to trust and play with other dogs. Once he was ready to find a forever home, a rescue organization in Qatar gave him an all-expense paid trip to Atlanta so Furkids could find him a forever home.
Since Kushky Q’s estimated birthdate is 1/6/2016, his adoption fee is $275 [senior citizens (age 62 and older), military personnel (active, veteran, retired), and first responders (Firefighter, Police, EMT) receive a 15% discount on adoption fees]. If you want to know more about Kushky Q and to speak to an Adoption Counselor, please complete a survey at https://furkids.org/dog-adoptions/application. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
(If the dog you're interested in meeting is living in a foster home, the Adoption Counselor will make an appointment for you to meet the dog at the shelter.)
